Newton - April 19, 2009 - Jake got the feature win in Stock medium in his first race of the year on a very fast track. He started the feature on the outside pole after winning the second heat. He was able to stay with the pole sitter running on the outside of a lap and a half until he got a hole to pull in pass for the lead coming out of turn four on the second lap. From there the kart just got faster every lap.

Battle at the Barn - After a 15 year layoff from racing at Vets Auditorium, coke syrup racing made a return and it was great show. Jake finished 2nd and 3rd in the stock medium heats qualifying him 5th for the feature. He got spun on the first lap and came back to 7th.
